LUTHERANS LOVE! GOD DOES NOT HATE! This is the message we offer to give to the LGBT community. The Christian faith is a gift of love not hatred, joy not dread, hope not defeat. God is love! God hates no one, since God made us as we are!
If you are not familiar with Lutheran Christians, remember one thing: we are not part of the so-called "religious right." It is our mission to proclaim God's grace for all people, including lesbian/gay/bisexual/ transgender/queer/questioning (and everyone else)!
HOW CAN I FIND A GRACIOUS GOD? WHERE CAN I FIND A WELCOMING CHURCH?
We have been working with local Lutheran congregations for 25 years to identify places where people can feel safe and experience love without judgment or condemnation. Nearly 400 Lutheran churches nation-wide have joined the Reconciling in Christ program, which encourages and enables local churches to affirm their welcome publicly.
These Los Angeles area churches welcome LGBT people into full participation in the congregation. Expect to be warmly received when you visit! (and please mention Lutherans Concerned)!
